I Needed an eBay Alternative
Since 1998, I made my living as an eBay seller and an eBay alternative was the farthest thing from my mind. eBay was a fantastic, nurturing site, and a bang-up way to make money. I relished every minute of it, and I came across some genuinely cool folks along the way. I was lucky enough to be able to do it full time, and I produced more income than any job would have provided.
Lately though, all hell exploded. A few of my products were e-books. Not lousy e-books being passed off for a penny, but superior, valuable and best-selling e-books that helped people achieve or learn something valuable. eBay did not care for that however, and with one new rule, my business was virtually gone. Years of work and building it up for nothing.
I have read numerous heart-breaking accounts of other folks whose businesses were destroyed by eBay overnight. Many of those people are now bound to regular dead-end jobs once again because the ebay corporation has grown too big and powerful with big businesses in mind instead of the small businesses that made eBay what it is today. eBay is no fun any longer. You need a true eBay alternative.
Protect Your Business
I’m not trying to frighten you. I just want to warn you. Don’t put all of your eggs in eBay’s basket. It’s no longer a secure thing to do. If you only sell your items on eBay, you do not own your business. They do, and they can "fire" you at any time. Yeah, it’s time for an eBay alternative.
If you get zilch out of what I’m telling you, please consider this. You need to begin broadening your business. You need to sell at additional places in addition to eBay, but where? I am sure you have tried other auction sites only to be frustrated. They just do not have the traffic equivalent to eBay.
There is one site though, that does. This past Christmas, for the first time ever, this one web site beat up eBay not only in traffic, but also sales. That site is Amazon.com and they are ready and waiting for you to come and sell your items with them.
